One Night Stand was born by accident on October 31, 2023. When the band our drummer was performing with had to cancel a Halloween gig at the Island House, Dan didn't want to leave the venue scrambling for a replacement. He reached out to several musician friends he had played with in previous bands and asked if they would be interested in putting together a one-night performance.

Although everyone was already committed to other bands, we all happened to have that evening free and decided to give it a try. Since the plan was to perform only that single event, we chose the name "One Night Stand."

The Halloween show exceeded everyone's expectations. Immediately afterward, the Island House owner offered us three additional dates. Because of our existing commitments, we initially declined. However, the chemistry on stage was undeniable, and we had so much fun playing together that we compared schedules and found dates that worked for everyone.

We accepted the offer, and what was intended to be a one-night project became an ongoing musical journey. We've been playing together ever since.                              SCROLL DOWN FOR INDIVIDUAL MEMBER BIO'S

DAN NICOLETTE- Niagara Falls, NY

Dan picked up sticks for the first time at age five after watching his uncle's band. His uncle gave him a drum, but one drum wasn't enough. Eager for a full drum set, his parents insisted he learn piano first. After several years of piano, his patience paid off. He received his first drum set in ninth grade and soon formed a band with friends. However, opportunities to perform were limited. Most of his musical classmates had already been established and performing since junior high. By his junior year, he put away the drums and  shifted his focus to hockey and pole vaulting. Years later, after retiring, he purchased an electronic drum kit and began playing along to his favorite music. A connection through his son led him to a group of  musicians with a simialr background of  limited experience. And now, after hundreds of hours of practice, and  playing with several bands, Dan found his musical home with One Night Stand.

ANGELO TEOFRIO- Patchogue NY

Angelo's musical journey began in school when he was handed an upright bass and encouraged to learn. For a young kid, it was a lot of instrument to manage, and his parents weren't exactly thrilled about hauling it back and forth in the family car. Everything changed when he was about 15 years old. A local band made up of his friends suddenly found themselves without a bass player and asked Angelo to fill the spot. He picked up an electric bass for the first time and immediately felt at home. Combined with his strong vocal abilities, that opportunity launched a lifelong passion for performing rock and roll. Since then, Angelo has spent decades playing in bands, laying down the groove, and providing the solid foundation that every great group needs. Whether he's singing, performing, or keeping the rhythm locked in, one thing remains true: “IT’S ALL ABOUT THAT BASS.”

JULIE SWANSON- Hermitage, Pa.

Julie’s passion for music began at the age of three when her grandmother gave her a miniature toy piano. Fascinated by the sounds it produced, she spent countless hours playing it. At age eight, her grandmother purchased her first real piano, inspiring Julie to begin formal musical training. As her talent and dedication grew, Julie pursued studies in both Music and Pharmacology while attending college. Although she recognized that a career in music could be challenging financially, her love for performing and learning music never faded. She chose pharmacy as her profession, while continuing to nurture her lifelong passion for music. Over the years, Julie has remained an active musician and has developed proficiency on several instruments, including  guitar, organ, and flute. Music continues to be an important and rewarding part of her life, providing both creative expression and personal fulfillment.

NANCY GUAVREAU- Amherst NH & Venice Fl.

Nancy grew up in Amherst, New Hampshire, before moving to Venice, Florida, with her family. Raised in a musical household, she spent her childhood singing four-part harmonies to classics like Chicago Town and Bye Bye Blackbird.

At age nine, her parents put a guitar in her hands, beginning a musical journey that would last a lifetime. Over the years, she performed as a solo acoustic artist and in various duos and trios, developing her musicianship and stage presence. During the past decade, Nancy transitioned from guitarist to full-time vocalist, allowing her to connect more directly with audiences and bring even greater energy to every show.

Today, you can find Nancy entertaining crowds throughout Southwest Florida, encouraging audiences to sing, dance, and share a little harmless mischief with her bandmates in One Night Stand.

RON BURNETTE- Wallingford, CT.

Ron's musical journey began at the age of seven when he asked his teacher if there was any way he could stop taking tap dancing lessons. The solution? A saxophone. At first, Ron thought it sounded more like a honking goose than a musical instrument, but as he learned to play actual notes, he quickly became fascinated. Before long, he was hooked on the idea of turning nothing more than air into music and somehow convincing people it sounded good. Over the years, Ron developed into a versatile and accomplished saxophonist. While the tenor saxophone remains his favorite, he is also proficient on soprano, alto, and baritone sax. His musical interests span a wide range of styles, from pop and classic rock to jazz and big band swing. Whether performing a soulful ballad, a jazz standard, or a high-energy rock tune, Ron brings enthusiasm, experience, and a love of music to every performance.

JEFF DEAN- LA & Minneapolis

Jeff  picked up an acoustic guitar at age 13. He soon added an electric guitar to his collection and discovered a passion that would last a lifetime. By sixteen, he was already performing professionally. In college, he continued to develop his musical skills, playing  in local bands and community theater. After graduation, he pursued a business career, but music remained an important part of his life. While living in Michigan, he fronted his own band, performing at clubs, corporate events and private parties throughout the area. After returning to Minnesota, he continued his involvement in the music scene, playing in both rock and country bands. Today, Jeff calls Southwest Florida home and remains an active performer, entertaining audiences as both a solo artist and a member of several bands. His diverse musical background, stage experience, and passion for live performance continue to make him a sought-after musician throughout the region.
